Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty is a procedure to construct or repair a vagina. It treats various medical issues, including vaginal injury due to childbirth and pelvic floor disease complications. It’s also for creating a transgender vagina, which helps individuals achieve their preferred gender identity. Some girls are born with a congenital absence of a uterus and vagina, though they have other normal female sexual characteristics. In these girls, a vaginal pouch is created (reconstructed) as a result patient can have normal intercourse with their male partner though the absence of a uterus deprive them of pregnancy.

There are no side effects which are associated with this procedure. Moreover, full recovery will take place in about 6 weeks, despite any complications due to infections and others. The women may experience pain within the areas around the surgeries. In some cases, women can return to their normal working routine three days after their surgery. You may require to visit the surgeon after the procedure to ensure that it is healing properly.
